Pantry Cabinets

Start with the space you have. Measure the width of the wall or alcove where the cabinet will sit. Our pantry cabinets run from 20″ to 86″ across, so a tape measure here saves you more trouble than anything else. The tallest piece stands at 86″. If your ceiling is lower than that, you will need to look at the shorter options.

Next, decide what you actually store inside. About half of our pieces include adjustable shelves, which we recommend if you keep cereal boxes, bulk bins, or small appliances on hand. Fixed shelves work fine for uniform items like canned goods and jars. We also offer 52 with built-in outlets and USB ports. These cost more, but they eliminate the extension cord behind a coffee maker or toaster.

Barn doors slide along a track instead of swinging out into the room. We use this design on most of our wider cabinets because it lets you stand in front of an open shelf without stepping aside. However, the track takes up roughly an inch of interior depth. If every inch of storage space matters to you, a standard swing door gives you slightly more room inside for the same footprint.

These cabinets are not right for everyone. They need a flat floor to stand on, and none of them mount to the wall as floating units. We include anti-tip hardware with 52 of them, but you must attach it to a stud. If you rent your home and cannot drill into the wall behind the unit, you should choose a shorter, lighter piece that is stable on its own.
