Kids Storage

All four pieces in this department share the same dimensions. Each one is 72″ wide and stands 86″ tall, so the choice comes down to finish and layout, not size. If you have a tight corner or a narrow wall section, measure twice. These units need the full 72″ to sit flat, and they will not squeeze into a space that is even an inch shorter.

The reading nook design puts a small bench seat on one side and open shelving on the other. We built it for a child who likes to sit with a book or a tablet nearby, not for someone who needs closed storage. The shelves are fixed in place, so you cannot move them up or down to fit taller items. If you want to hide toys behind doors or adjust shelf height as your child grows, look at our pantry cabinets or dressers instead.

The four finishes are White, Green, Grey, and Pink. Pick the one that works with the room you already have. None of these units include anti-tip hardware, so we recommend placing them against a solid wall if young children will climb on the seat.

This department will not work well if you need rolling casters, drawer storage, or a piece that grows with your child through the teenage years. It also will not suit anyone who wants outlets or USB ports built into the frame. What it does well is give a kid a dedicated spot to read and keep a few favorite books within reach, at a size that fits most standard walls without overwhelming the room.
